Description
The JBL Charge 6 is a portable, rugged Bluetooth speaker that offers powerful audio performance, an extended battery life that doubles as a power bank, and robust water, dust, and drop resistance. It was released in April 2025 as the successor to the JBL Charge 5.
Key Features and Specifications
- Powerful JBL Pro Sound with AI Sound Boost: The speaker features a 53 mm x 93 mm woofer and 20 mm tweeter, delivering rich bass and crisp frequencies with up to 45 W of peak output power. Proprietary AI Sound Boost technology analyzes the audio in real-time to optimize acoustic performance and minimize distortion.
- Extended Playtime and Power Bank: The built-in 34 Wh battery provides up to 28 hours of playtime (24 hours standard, plus an extra 4 with Playtime Boost mode). It also functions as a power bank, allowing you to charge your mobile devices via the USB-C port while music is playing. A quick 10-minute charge provides up to 150 minutes of playtime.
- Durability: The Charge 6 has an industry-leading IP68 rating, making it fully waterproof and dustproof, and it is also drop-proof (tested to survive drops from 1 meter onto concrete).
- Connectivity: It uses Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable and efficient wireless connection and features Auracast™ technology, which allows you to effortlessly connect multiple Auracast-enabled JBL speakers for a wider sound stage or party sound.
- Design: The speaker features a sturdy, removable handle strap for easy portability. It is made with 85% post-consumer recycled plastic and 100% recycled fabric for the speaker grille, and comes in FSC-certified paper packaging.
- App Control: The JBL Portable app provides access to support, updates, and a 7-band graphic EQ to customize the sound to your preference.
- Lossless Audio Playback: For audio enthusiasts, the USB-C port allows for wired lossless audio playback when connected to a compatible source.
